Our mission is to bring biological science to communities and education, for children and adults as well as conducting
basic research.
NEW - Lab course for home schoolers
- Age: 9 yrs and older.
- Group size: 4 - 6 children.
- Beginning: Oct 2016. 1.5 hrs/week. 4 weeks.
- Course plan
- Build a DIY microscope (material cost 10 $).
- Isolate your own DNA.
- Run gel electrophoresis with food dye.
- Grow glowing yeast.
- Optional / More advanced:
- Analyse own DNA with qPCR.
- Build a DIY colorimeter to measure cell concentration in a solution (material cost 10 $).
- Operate distillation apparatus.

- The course cost 25 $ (1-2 children) to cover the cost for the wet reagents.
